Smart markets

Smart markets are used in trading environments to provide the user with the most current information possible to assist them in making the best decision. These markets tend to be neater, as the computer facet reduces costs and externalities, and provides more opportunity for competition between markets. The internet allows information regarding these markets to remain up-to-date, because changes due to buying and selling are reflected more quickly. This allows for potential buyers or sellers to see the change in the market more quickly and make smarter decisions based on that, knowing that the data is current. Smart markets are often used in the electricity market.
